In the early evening of March 1, 2012, Robert Bruce Wolfe, Sr., known too many as “Bruce”, passed away at OSU Hospital.
Robert was born on October 2, 1949. He was a lifelong resident of New Lexington.
Robert Wolfe had many friends in his life. Robert was not alone when he passed away. Most people would remember him as the New Lexington Pool Manager in the late 1980’s and part of the early 90’s. Robert was also the first successful kidney transplant recipient at OSU Medical Center back in 1967. Robert had an amazing gift of being a friend and mentor to all who knew him with his straight forward views on life and always being honest was his greatest asset. A true family man to the end, he never turned down a request for his time. Robert did have a long history of health, but always had the time and energy to help anyone or just talk in his 62 years of life.
Surviving Robert is his wife for over 44 years, Victoria Steen Wolfe; one son, Robert (Tammy) Wolfe, Jr. of New Lexington; a daughter, Diana Wolfe King of Alabama; brothers, Mike, Frank and Gary Wolfe; sisters, Nora, Cathy and Nita; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his mother and father, Dorothy and Russell Wolfe; brother, David Wolfe and sister, Shelba Wolfe.
No services will be held as requested by the deceased.
