Alfred A. Koonts

Alfred A. Koonts, 78, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 8:58pm on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born October 12, 1936 in Junction City, Ohio to the late Harry and Mary Davisson Koonts.

Alfred was a member of Bear Run Baptist Church.

Survived by 2 sons, David (Bobbie) Koonts of New Lexington and Jeff (Wendy) Koonts of New Lexington; sister, Carolyn Hoops of Junction City; brother-in-law, Harold (Susan) Kinney; sister-in-law, Judy Koonts; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special friends, Jennifer and Shane Boring, Angel Bush, Dale and Ellen Frame.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Kinney Koonts on July 27, 2014; 2 sons, Jeffery Richard Koonts and Garey Jo Koonts; brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend Roger Mills and Reverend Willie Sines officiating.

Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery, Rehoboth, Ohio.
