Arthur “Bud” Rose, Jr., 80 of Roseville, Ohio finally got his wish, to meet Saint Peter fulfilled, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born on August 25, 1936 in Harrison Township, Perry County, Ohio to the late Arthur, Sr. and Armel Bowers Rose.
Bud was a Methodist by faith; a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company; his hobbies included making sauerkraut, gardening, hunting, fishing and spoiling his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma Fitzpatrick Rose of the home; children, Diane (Harold) Snyder of Zanesville and Richard (Christina) Rose of Roseville; grandchildren, Sherri (Jack) Maxwell, Michelle (Scott) Wingrove and Jason L. (Kasie) Rose; great-grandchildren, Joe (Ashley) Fleming, Sr., Katelyn Klingler, Jamie Fleming and Jason M. Rose, Colten and Matthew Maxwell, and Ryan Wingrove; great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Fleming, Jr., Marleigh Hesser and Bo Fleming; sisters, Norma (Joe) Perani of Crooksville, Pauline Lipps of New Lexington, Kay Lyons of Lodi, Judy Ann (Paul) Hazlett of New Lexington and Mary Lou Ray of New Lexington; numerous nieces and nephews; special pets, Dot “Blackie” and Lady.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a son, Arthur Paul Rose; brothers, Kenny and Charles Rose.
Calling hours will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
The family thanks his “second family” at Adams Lane Care Center, “his girls” from Genesis Home Care and the caring staff in the Genesis Hospital CCU.
