Bernice E. (Russell) Bolyard

Bernice E. Bolyard, 91, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 5:00am on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Genesis-New Lexington Care Center, New Lexington, Ohio.

Born April 6, 1925 in Moxahala, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Grace Vincent Russell.

Mrs. Bolyard was a former aid at the Community School; member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of New Lexington and a member of the Good Neighbors Club of Moxie.

Survived by her children, Duane R. (Shirley) Bolyard of Oakfield, Phyllis (David) Simpson of New Lexington and Patsy (Paul) Garlinger of Northport, FL.; 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Valis R. “Pokie” Bolyard on April 29, 2004; daughter, Valerie Ray Bolyard on June 21, 1987; sisters, Helen McGill, Fern Hubble and Ruth Collins; brother, Charles “Sonny” Russell, Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Deandra Lee Bolyard.

Calling Hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10am-11am on Wednesday at the church.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 700 Center Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Daniel Greer and Pastor Larry Ruh officiating.

Burial will be in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
