Beulah Louise (Paxson) McCormick-Smith

Beulah Louise McCormick-Smith, 92 of Moxahala, Ohio died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Thornville Health & Rehabilitation Center, Thornville, Ohio.

Born, October 11, 1925 in Bearfield Township, Perry County, Ohio to the late Charles & Margaret Smith Paxson.

Beulah graduated from McLuney High School in 1942; retired from Saint Rose School & Rectory in 1989; was on Trustee Board at the Senior Center and sang in the Goldenaires & Silvertones for a lot of years and a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington.

Survived by 4 children, James (Marsha) McCormick of Hilliard, Bob (Mickey) McCormick of Buckeye Lake, John (Linda) McCormick of Jacksonville, FL and Donna (Charles) Davis of New Lexington;  Step daughter-in-law, Linda Smith and  step-son,  Randy (Jan) Smith both of New Lexington; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret (Don) Nixon of Moxahala.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by John McCormick, her husband, January 24, 1995; her second husband, Albert Charles “Jay” Smith, December 11, 2011; step-father, James Barber; step-son-in-law, Allen Smith; 1 grandchild; 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm with Wake Service at 7pm on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, corner of Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father Daniel Swartz as celebrant.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
