Bonna J. (Ketcham) Sims

Bonna Jean Sims, 94, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 7:00pm on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Genesis-New Lexington Care Center.

Bonna was born in Portersville, Ohio to the late Harry H. and Eunice Thomas Ketcham.

Lifelong resident of Perry County, she and husband, Amos G. Sims managed Ready-Mix Concrete for many years. Bonna was a member of the First United Methodist Church, serving as Choir member, Membership Secretary, Historian and co-chair of the 150th anniversary celebration of the church.

She is survived by daughter, Nora Ellen Watkins of New Lexington and son, Reverend Arnold Gail (Kay) Sims of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Kelly Greene, Carol (Mark) Howdyshell, Ted (Joleen) Wiseman, Roxane (Bob) Skidmore, Geoffrey Shane (Angella) Sims and Jeremy Sims; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Evan Altier, Isaac Greene, Rachel (Mark) Johnson, Sarah (Robert) Kelly, Alex (Amber) Howdyshell, Emily (Tracy) Dayton, Jacob (Jessy) Sims, Wesley and Drew Wiseman, Rob and Tyson Skidmore; great-great-grandchildren, Xavier and Cooper Altier, Benjamin and Jackson Kelly, Oden Wiseman, Nora and Alice Dayton, Henry Howdyshell and Rhett Johnson; brothers, Gailard Ketcham and Jim (Madonna) Ketcham; sisters-in-law, Norma Nicewonger, Carolyn Cable, Luella Mills and brother-in-law, Herbert (Linda) Sims; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Amos G. Sims; infant son, Jerry Granville Sims, sisters, Mary Tharp, Pauline Cate and Daphne Ketcham; great-great- granddaughter, Ivy Jannette Kelly; brothers-in-law, William E., Leonard,  Bernice Sims and Bill Tharp; son-in-law, David M. Watkins.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 12noon-1pm on Wednesday at the church.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 126 South High Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Reverend Roger Grace officiating.

Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio.
