Edna Pearl (King) Danison, 86, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away at 9:05am on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio with her family by her side.
Born November 18, 1930 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late John W. and Pearl Gottke King of Bristol, Ohio.
Edna was a 1948 graduate of New Lexington High School; she was a retired cook from New Lexington City Schools and she enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Survived by her sister, Rowena Thomas of Martins Ferry, Ohio; brother, John (Maureen) King of Newark, Ohio and sister-in-law, Gladys King of Roseville;
She was a devoted Mother to her sons, in which she adored, Jeff Danison and Brian (Karen) Danison, both of New Lexington. Her grandchildren, Ty (Amanda) Danison, Alicia Warthman, Rachel Danison, Kristen (John) Faherty, Cory Haberkamp, Ashley (Dustin) Syphers, Brittany (Gary) Pettit, Brooke Haberkamp and Devin Haberkamp; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Delmar Danison; sister, Rose Latimer and brothers, Rodney King and Clarence King.
In honoring Edna’s wishes, private calling hours and funeral service with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating will be held for the family on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio
Burial will be held in New Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
