Fred O. Brownfield, Jr.

Fred O. Brownfield, Jr., 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Born on March 12, 1925 in Quaker City, Ohio to the late Fred and Louise Newhart Brownfield.

Fred is survived by his step-daughters, Carol A. (John) Friend and Ronda L. Lindamood; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ann; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

When serving in the United States Army in World War II, he received The Purple Heart. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of New Lexington, Ohio. After retiring from Automotive Collision work, he spent many years enjoying his home and family. Fred loved the Lord and his country. He enjoyed all sports and was a horseshoe enthusiast, pitching and winning several trophies over the years. A kind and quiet person, Fred will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Friends may visit from 10am-12noon with funeral service at 12noon with Pastor Larry Ruh officiating on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington, Ohio.
