Fred Fisher

Fred Fisher, 55, of Corning, Ohio died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

Born February 14, 1960 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Vernon, Sr. and Rita Kinsel Fisher.

Fred was a hard working man who cut and sawed the logs for the home he built; senior welder  and the lead welding inspector; he was an avid deer and turkey hunter, who enjoyed gardening and the outdoors; member of the N.R.A., a gun enthusiast and strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment; he had worked at Columbia Gas Transmissions in Sugar Grove and numerous other Oil and Gas Companies and Pipeline Projects including the Rocky Mountain Express.

Member of  Corning Eagles # 463 and the Ohio Big Bucks.

Survived by the love of his life, Christy Hanning Fisher, wife of 32 years; 2 sons, Trevor (Tina) Fisher of Corning and Jared Fisher of Corning; 2 granddaughters, Tatum Fisher of the home and Aisha Hiles of New Lexington; brothers and sisters, Teddy Fisher, Jim (Linda) Fisher, Judy (Jim) Wright, Mary (Don) Small, Vicky Tharp, Polly (Roy) Morris, Rita (Sam) Hern and Roberta (Chuck) Kreitz; mother-in-law, Judy (Ernie) Doerner; father-in-law, Jerry Hanning; 2 sisters-in-law, Jocie Tolliver and Tina (Mike) Watts; brother-in-law, William Hanning and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Roberta Fisher; brothers-in-law, Randy Tharp and Malin Hanning and father-in-law, Tim Tolliver.

Calling hours will be held from 3pm-7pm on Friday, July 31, 2015 and from 10am-11am on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the funeral home with Father Richard Metzger officiating.
