Gary R. Foss, 65, of New Lexington, Ohio, died at 6:20 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.
Born on May 17, 1950 in Nelsonville, Ohio, to the late Junior Kincaid and Edith Virginia Miller Foss.
Gary was Baptist by faith and a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.
Survived by a step-daughter, Krista Hollingshead ; grandchildren, Derrick Moore, Jr., Deja Moore and DeNasha Moore; brothers and sisters, Linda (Wilbur) Mills, John (Lynette) Foss, Cathy Mills, Cindy (Ronnie) Yates, Sheila (Bob) Schwartz, Brenda (Ronald) Williams and Robert (Becky) Foss.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hollingshead Foss; brother, Bo Foss and an aunt, Frieda Miller.
Calling hours will be from 4-7pm with funeral service at 7:00pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating. Military services will be conducted at the conclusion of the service by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington, Ohio.
