Jack E. Compston

Jack E. Compston, 74, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 7:30am on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home.

Born June 9, 1941 in Rehoboth, Ohio to the late John C. and Clara Beckett Compston.

Jack had worked at Nicofibers in Shawnee, Ohio, he started there on April 3, 1972 and retired on  June 9, 2003; member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington and he loved woodworking and gardening.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Leila O’Hare Compston of the home; 3 sons, Kevin Compston of New Lexington, Mark (Margaret) Compston of Baltimore and Eric Compston of New Lexington; 3 grandchildren, Anthony Jordan Compston and Lylah and Aliyah Compston, and their mother, Jeanette. Brothers and Sisters, Dorothy Neff, Janet (Rolland) Spring, Paul (Evelyn) Compston, Dale Compston, Karen (Jack) Joseph, Debbie Tracey, Donna (William) Mondillo and David Compston; several nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Dave and Fran Woofter; extended family, Becky, Amber and Lacey; Heidi, Chris, Jonah, Alyssa and Kyson.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by 3 sisters, Betty (James) Abram, Norma (William) Taylor and Regina Rolland.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm with Wake Service at 8:00pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father James Csaszar as celebrant.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
