Marguerite (Wardlow) Smith

Marguerite Smith, 93 of Rehoboth, Ohio passed away at 3:34am on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Somerset Healthcare Center, Somerset, Ohio.

Born September 30, 1922 in Blanchester, Ohio to the late Phillip G. and Cora Ethel Williams Wardlow.

She was a long time member of the Rehoboth United Methodist Church; graduated from the Columbus School for the Blind in 1944 and loved knitting and crocheting.

Survived by 3 daughters, Pat Bradley of Xenia, Susie (Greg) Canan of Logan and Mary (Alan) Wayne of Rose Farm; 6 sons, Kenny (Lydella) Smith of Somerset, Richard (Mika) Smith of Chandlersville, John (Mary) Smith of Somerset, Gerald Smith of New Lexington, Daniel Smith of Wasilla, Alaska and David (Andrea) Smith of Crooksville; son-in-law, Bill Sole of New Lexington; 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Perry Smith; son, Donald Smith; daughter, Sandy Sole; grandsons, Phillip Smith and Joey Sole; granddaughter, Cassie Carney; brother, Phillip “Bud”; sisters, Lena and Mildred.

Calling hours will be held from 3-5pm and 6-8pm on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Sanford Short officiating.

Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery, Rehoboth, Ohio.
