Michael Zartman

Michael C. Zartman passed away on February 4, 2015 in Hartford City, Indiana.  

He was born in New Lexington, Ohio on October 14, 1948 to Carl and Peg  Zartman
and was a very loving and dedicated son.
 
Mike graduated from New Lexington High School class of 1966.

He was employed as a guard at the Junction City Prison and volunteered as an
auxiliary deputy for the Perry County Sheriff’s Department.  Mike was elected to
the New Lexington City Council in the early 70's. Employed as a security guard
at Premix Inc. in Lancaster, Ohio, he relocated to Hartford City when the plant
closed in Lancaster.  Mike started as security guard and worked his way up to one of the plant supervisors. He was currently employed at Mayco International in Hartford City, and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lexington, Ohio.
 

He was an avid Nascar and Indianapolis Colt fan and loved gardening. He was very
proud of all the flowers he grew in his front yard.
 
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved parents and brother Jimmy, and is
survived by brother Bill (Barb) Zartman, several nieces and nephews, many life -
long friends in New Lexington along with his friends at Mayco International.
 
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 14, 2015 with visitation from 10 to 11am at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lexington, Ohio.
