Mike Toth, 96, of Crooksville, Ohio went to be with his Lord peacefully surrounded by his loving family at 6:30pm on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born May 29, 1918 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Honda Toth.
Mike was known as “The Tomato Man”, he sold produce for 37 years at the intersection of Crooksville High School; member of the Community Holiness Church of New Lexington and a United States Army Veteran of WW II, 11th Armored Division, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather; survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Crain Toth of the home; 9 children, Yvonne (Doug) Miller of Roseville, Michael (Trisha) Toth of Corning, Debbie (John) Byer of Caldwell, Danny Toth of Zanesville, Rachel Toth of Warrenton, VA., David (Sara) Toth of Corning, Julie Toth of Warrenton, VA., Becky (Tom) Bell of Zanesville and Mark (Leann) Toth of Zanesville; 13 grandchildren, Douglas, Renee, Jonathan, Rachel, Maegan, Alex, Timothy, Benji, Andrew, Cynthia, Courtney, Josh and Lydia; 4 great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hadley, Bayden and Jude and Colt on the way; sister, Julia Eveland of Hebron.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by 4 brothers, Steve, Louie, Joe and Jim; sister, Grace.
Calling hours will be held from 2pm-8pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Community Holiness Church, New Lexington, Ohio with Reverend Kenneth Teter officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington, Ohio.
