Paul W. Altier, 74, of Corning, Ohio died at 8:58pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born September 19, 1940 in Somerset, Ohio to the late John and Mary Flautt Altier.

Paul was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church of Corning, Ohio and was very involved with his family.

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. His grandchildren were the most precious gifts in his life. He had a very deep faith and giving heart. He was loved by his community as much as he loved them back.

Survived by his wife, Joaquin Miller Altier of the home; 6 children, John Paul Altier of Corning, Jason Altier of Crooksville, Rachele (John) McKinney of Glenford, Joseph Altier of Zanesville, Renee (Abel) Niculcea of Wernersville, PA. and Rebecca (Joel) Yeske  of Amanda; step-daughter, Tamera Lindell of Corning; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Mikala, Isaac, Dominic, Isabele, Elizabeth, Alysha, Austin, Ashtin, Aydenn, Abigail, Lucas, Rachel, Amanda, Todd, Nicole, Amber, Gunner and Jagger; great-grandchildren, Josephine, Kayla, Haley, Kairi, Michael and Braxton; brothers and sisters, Leo (Ann) Altier, Louis (Wanda) Altier, Mary Ann Flowers, Christine Altier, William (Suzie) Altier and Pamela Compston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a step-son, Todd Lindell; 2 brothers, Donald and John Altier.

Calling hours will be held from 5pm-7pm with a service of remembrance at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015 and calling hours from 4pm-8pm with a wake service at 8:00pm on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Corning, Ohio with Father John Reade as celebrant. (Family and Friends, please meet at the church)

Burial will be in Millertown-Oakwood Cemetery.
