Rawland "Otis" Moore

Rawland “Otis” Moore, 69, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 7:14pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born September 8, 1948 in Rehoboth, Ohio to the late Mason Templeton Moore, Jr. and Wilma McMillian Brown.

Rawland was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 4 Bronze Service Stars and other additional Medals for his service; he retired from Owens-Corning; was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, mushroom hunter, loved working on his kids cars and he loved his grandkids.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly Norris Moore of the home; children, Nicholas James Moore (Bonnie Belcher), Michael (Amber) Moore and Treaver Woodrum, all of New Lexington; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers, Dale Robinson of Somerset, Matthew (Gina) Moore of New Lexington and Rich Brown (Amy Holmes) of Roseville; sisters, Diane Warren Skeenes of Crooksville and Sandy (Larry) Harper of Roseville; brothers-in-law, Richard (Gloria) Norris and Timothy Norris; sisters-in-law, Marianne Howell and Linda Starner, all of New Lexington.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his step-mother, Maxine Moore; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Gloria (Don) Phillips, Sue Levering, Barb (Don) Harvey, Ernest Norris, Jack Norris, Jerry Norris and Don Norris.

Calling hours will be held from 2pm-6pm with military services at 6:00pm by John Tague Post #188, American Legion of New Lexington, Ohio on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
