Scott Samuel Elias, age 63, peacefully passed into his eternal life on Nov. 15, 2015 at Mount Aloysius in New Lexington, Ohio.
Scott was born Nov. 16, 1951, in Washington, D.C. He was a resident at Mount Aloysius since 1969. Previously he had resided at home in Washington, DC., St. Rita’s in Buffalo, NY, Cobb Memorial School in Altamont, NY, Vuvall Home in FL, and St. Martin’s in Columbus, OH.
Scott enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, looking at magazines, going on walks and outings, and helping others. He helped referee in the staff-resident basketball games.
Survivors include first cousins, Dennis Saide of Hull, MA, Dr. Louis Scott Charlton of San Antonio, TX, and Ralph William Charlon, Jr. of Iowa City, IA, and many other cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Elias, on Aug. 16, 1982, and Mildred Leola Charlton Elias, on Aug. 18, 2001.
Special thanks to all of the staff at Mount Aloysius for their care of Scott and to Attorney Mark Howdyshell, his legal guardian.
The body was cremated with burial at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD.
Memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Mt. Aloysius Auditorium, New Lexington, Ohio.
