Susan Eileen (Collins) Lawson, 38, left this world for her mansion in heaven at 12:02am on Thursday, May 19, 2016.

Born August 11, 1977 in Columbus, Ohio to Clyde and Linda Collins.

Survived by beloved children, Justice and Ariel Lawson; parents; sister, Michele (J.D.) Long; step-brothers, Joseph, Greg and Douglas Collins; grandmother, Mary Lewis; ex-husband, John Lawson; aunts, Debby Lewis, Tina Ciber; uncle, Dwight Lewis; father-in-law, Rick Lawson; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Herbert Lewis; aunt, Shirley Hunsinger; uncle, Allie Collins; grandmother, Madeline Ciber and mother-in-law, Tami Lawson.

Susan graduated from New Lexington High School in 1995, where she was active in drama, freshman cheerleading and band.

Susan was a talented dancer, who danced with Butch Theisen studios in several cities where she also began teaching dance at age 12. She won many awards for dancing and baton twirling. She was Little Miss Majorette of Ohio in Who’s Who in Baton Twirling, competing at State, Regional, National and World competitions and winning a national dance competition. She was the featured dancer in New Lexington Lion’s Club Minstrel shows while still in high school.

She was a contestant in Miss Southeastern Ohio pageant for 2 years and Junior Miss Ohio pageant.

Susan had an enthusiastic nature, she was spirit filled and kind, thoughtful and generous to a fault from childhood even in death as a kidney and liver donor. She was a loving mother and daughter.

Susan was dedicated to the Lord as an infant and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age. We, her loving family, have the blessed assurance that she is waiting in heaven for us to join her.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Calling hours will be held from 3pm-7pm with funeral service at 7:00pm with Pastor Art Minnehan officiating on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Onward Grace Christian Church, 399 Lincoln Park Drive, New Lexington, Ohio.
