Thomas “Tom” Michael Stevenson, Sr., 47, of New Lexington died Friday, June 17, 2016 at is home following a sudden illness. He was born, July 28, 1968 in Columbus, the son of Mark Stevenson and Vickie Deana (Rader) Stevenson and attended New Lexington Baptist Church.
Tom loved to fish and was an electrician by trade. He was very talented and handy and learned many trades throughout his life. Tom loved to kayak; was very passionate about the San Francisco 49’s; was very involved in his children’s youth sports; loved to fly and enjoyed mountain biking.
Tom is survived by three children: Tom (Alyssa) Stevenson, Jr., Brett Stevenson and Shannon Stevenson all of New Lexington; one grandson: Benjamin Stevenson; one brother: Vic (Danielle) Stevenson of Junction City, four sisters: Toni (Amber) Stevenson-Shreves of Lancaster, Elizabeth Stevenson of Gahanna, Wenda Stevenson and Tricia (Mike) Thompson both of Westerville; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Tom’s Life will be held 6:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at the New Lexington Baptist Church.
