Charles Robinette

Charles D. Robinette, 61, of New Lexington died on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born January 11, 1963 in Williamson, West Virginia to his late father, Donald Robinette and his mother, Joyce Blevins Jewell of Pomeroy, Ohio.

Charles enjoyed dirt track racing, wrestled at “Flying Paul Harley” and after his wrestling days he still promoted SCW wrestling. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved his bon fires and making people laugh.

He is survived by his mother Joyce Jewell but raised by his deceased grandmother, Bertha Robinette who he called Mom; his wife of 42 years, Sandra Speakman Robinette; daughters, Misty (Thomas) Azbell, Melissa Robinette (Justin) and Mandy Robinette; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two more on the way; sister, Linda (Wayne) Pope; brother, Terry (Brenda) Colley; sisters, Charlene Goodman, Tena Jewell, Tammy Jewell, Dawn Bragg "June Bug"; brothers, Kevin Jewell and William Muncy; several Aunts, Uncles, Neices and Nephews.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother Benny Goodman and his grandfather, Layne Robinette.  

Calling hours will be held 10am-12pm with funeral services at 12:00pm with Pastor Layne Cheney officiating on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow at New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
