Richard A. "Dick" Nash, 84, passed away peacefully early on Monday, March 25, 2024 at his home.
Born July 20, 1939 in Bristol, Ohio to the late Francis and Geraldine Nash of New Lexington, Ohio.
He graduated from St Aloysius Academy and after a stint in the army, received a master’s degree at Ohio University. Dick had a lifelong career in education, spending most days as principal at Miller High School and nights rooting for his beloved Falcons. An avid skier and sailor he would often take his children Scott and Melissa and reluctant wife Judy on these adventures. He was active in BPOElks 509 and was a member of the KofC MacGahan Council 1065.
Dick is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judith McGreevy Nash; children, Scott (Michele) Nash and Melissa Nash; sisters, Adelaide Gable (Bob), Charlotte Reott, Mary Eleanor Schmelzer (John), Gerri Lou Killbarger and brother William Nash (Cindy) and a sister-in-law Helen Nash a brother-in-law James McGreevy (Gail) as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Nash and sister Connie Hughes.
Visitation will be from 4pm-7pm with Elks services at 7pm followed by a Wake Service on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Saint Rose Catholic Church with Father Todd Lehigh and Deacon Mark Weiner as Celebrants.
