Betty C. (Whiteman) Cavinee

Betty C. Cavinee, 90, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 1:45pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born August 14, 1928 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Harry and Marie Dillinger Whiteman.

Betty was Methodist by faith and she loved to go camping; doing gardening, crafts and paintings.

Survived by her granddaughters, Kim Whitehouse, Mandy Sprankle, Jennifer Graham, Tammy Cook and Tina Williams; daughter-in-law, Sheila Garey; son, Jeff (Carol) Cavinee; several great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by husbands, William Garey and Walter W. Cavinee; sons, William “Butch” Garey and Dale Kackley; granddaughter, Brenda Cavinee and a beloved dog, Sammy.

Calling hours will be held from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, September 6, 2018 and from 10am-11am on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Penrod officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
