Betty Lee (Wolfe) Wilson

Betty Lee (Wolfe) Wilson, 86, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on February 24, 1931 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Lewis Clyde and Florence Marie Bennett Wolfe.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of New Lexington High School; after graduating, she worked for Nationwide Insurance in Columbus; she married her high school sweetheart, Michael J. Wilson on July 14, 1951 and she was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of New Lexington, Ohio.

Survived by her husband of 66 years, Michael J. Wilson of the home; son, Gary Douglas Wilson; daughter, Sherie Sue Self; granddaughters, Michelle Winegardner and Jana (Ryan) Musser; grandson, James (Katrina) Wesley Self, IV; 6 great-grandchildren, Aryk, Ashlee, Ashton, Jaxton, Wesley and Walter.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her older brothers, George E. and Norman “Pete” Wolfe.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Justin VanOrman officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
