Diane Lee (Dawson) Gibbs

Diane Lee Dawson Gibbs, 70 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at 12:15 am at the Kobacker House on January 17, 2018 after a terminal illness.

She was born in Hartford, Connecticut to the late John and Rita Charette Dawson.  She was married in the early 70’s to the late Dale Francis Gibbs of Redfield, Ohio.

Diane was a graduate of the Southern Local-Miller High School in Hemlock, Ohio; was full of life and had a love for animals; she spent her career in Redfield as a professional dog groomer serving Perry County;   loved horses and was committed to Perry County Easy Riders horse riding club; she was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother, who will be missed by all.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy  (Larry)  Musick of Crooksville, Tracy Haley of Columbus, Melissa Gibbs (David Stover) of Lancaster and son, Dale (Michelle)  Gibbs, Jr. of Somerset; her grandchildren, Troy Haley, Clayton Beisser, Layne Beisser, Faith Beisser, Richard Mensah, Owen Mensah, Kyle Gibbs, Rebecca Gibbs and Kaylin Stover; one brother, Joseph J. (Geneva) Dawson of Logan.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by sister, Jackie Davis.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist family with expenses.

Burial will be at Oakfield Cemetery.
