Harold Shriner, Jr., 84 of Junction City, Ohio was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 5, 2018 after several months of illness.
He spent the first half of his life farming while working at The Rush Creel Clay Company and the J.C. Correctional facility until it closed. After leaving the farm, he worked in the oil fields but continued farming his gardens.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Shriner, Sr. and a granddaughter, Angela Shriner Wade.
Survived by his 102 year old Mother, Dorothy Shriner of New Lexington; his Wife of 65 years, Elizabeth A. McGruder Shriner; his sister, Eleanor (Lyle) Life of Belpre; a brother, Murle (Martha) Shriner of New Lexington; 6 children, Richard (Diane) Shriner of Junction City, Barbara (Steven) Lippoli of Rushville, David (Tammy) Shriner of Junction City, Susan (Thomas) Bookman of New Lexington, Kristina Dumm (Shawn Daubenmire) of Sugar Grove and Brian (Sandy) Shriner of New Lexington; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
Harold has chosen Cremation; Visitation will be held from 12noon-1pm with Memorial Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 126 South High Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Jeremy Ellis and Reverend Greg Inboden officiating.
Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
