Joyce E. (Shumaker) Newsome

Joyce E. Newsome, 65, of Lancaster, Ohio died at 3:00am on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Main Street Terrace Care Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born May 8, 1951 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Merl Shumaker and Naomi Ellen Azbell Boggs of Lancaster, Ohio.

Joyce loved gardening, flowers and her family.

Survived by her daughter, Treasa (Tim) Newsome and son, Chris (Mary) Lutz, both of Junction City; 2 step-children, Erica Jividen and Jessica Clanton; mother, Naomi Boggs of Lancaster; grandchildren, Staci, T.J., Kiah, Christopher, Hope, Savannah, John and Samuel; brother, Steve (Joy) Shumaker; sisters, Sharon (John) Layne and Janice (Gene) Gulick.

In addition to her father, preceded in death by her husband, Ron Newsome; son, Raymond Lutz and a sister, Lois Spangler.

Calling hours will be held from 11am-1pm with funeral service at 1:00pm with Reverend Greg Inboden officiating on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in West Rushville Cemetery.
