Karen S. (York) Muncy

Karen S. Muncy, 66 of Junction City, Ohio passed away peacefully holding the hand of her husband with her children by her side at 2:30 am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., Lancaster, Ohio.

Born October 29, 1951 in Lovely, Kentucky to the late Alvis and Sylvia Davis York.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Shawnee; loved her children and grandchildren, was a homemaker and an excellent cook.

Survived by her husband of 48 years, Ance Muncy, Jr. of the home; children, Amy (Burt) Brown, Andrea (Steve) Buckley, Amanda Muncy and Stephen (Lisa) Muncy; her baker’s dozen grandchildren, Alycia (Hugo) Schneider, Jenna Brown, Hanna Brown, Tucker Brown, Gabby Buckley,  Lia Buckley, Lora Buckley, Dylan Muncy, Garrett Muncy, Clayton Muncy, Ethan Muncy, Alydia Muncy, and Davonah Muncy; siblings, Linda Coddington, Clifford York, Alvis York, Jr. and Gary York; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Doug Oakes officiating.

Burial will in Somerset Cemetery.
