Linda Jean (Laing) Thorp

Heaven took another angel today an amazing mom, loving wife, caring grandma and great-grandma.

Linda Jean Thorp, 68 of Somerset, Ohio died at 4:20 am on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born March 1, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Kenneth Rolland and Jean Cecelia Hague Laing.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father. She left behind a loving husband, James Raymond Thorp, Sr.; four caring children, Kimberly (James) Fraunfelter, James (Misty) Thorp, Terree Thorp (Vince Johnson) and Lacy (Matt) Wolford; She also left behind several grandchildren, Ashley Canter, Courtney Canter, Erica Canter, Cordell Thorp, Halley Fraunfelter, C.J. Fraunfelter, Faith Fraunfelter, James Thorp III, Harley Thorp, Megan Bray, Nick Lane, Sam Whightsel, Janet Johnson, Lyric Johnson, Vinnie Johnson, Izzy Wolford, Alli Wolford, Bo Wolford, Mattie Wolford, Sophia Wolford and Patty Thorp; great grandchildren, Declan Canter, Carsen Canter, Peyton Canter, Wyatt Thorp, Sawyer Thorp, Lucas Thorp, Greyson Burkhardt, Alivia Lane, Gage Lane, Kyson Evans; her brothers and sister, Susan Bandzuch, Chuck, Kenny and Jack Laing and many dear friends. This woman is going to be truly missed by All.

Calling hours will be held from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 29, 20918 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will held at 11:00 am Friday, November 30, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Perry officiating.

Burial will follow at New Reading Cemetery, Somerset, Ohio
