Mary Marie (Rickenbach) Smith

Mary Marie Smith, 73, of Corning, Ohio and Brooksville, Florida died Monday, June 4, 2018 at her home.

Born July 11, 1944 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Benjamin B. and Octavia Myra Bickford Rickenbach.

Mary was a retired registered nurse for Genesis Hospice Care;  member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of New Lexington, Ohio; she spent many years of her life as a Missionary to Brazil and Papua New Guinea; she loved spending time with her family, playing board games, singing gospel songs and always encouraging others to live their lives with eternity in view.

Survived by her husband of 49 years, Benjamin T. Smith; sons, Jason B. Smith and Benjamin W. (Tracy) Smith; daughters, Sara J. (David) Toth, Melody J. (John) Veyon and Janene (Mark) Dubbeld; grandchildren, Hunter, Steven, Jonathan and Caleb Smith; Ben (Krista),  Andrew (Kayla), Cynthia, Courtney and Josh Toth; Kyle, Caden, Baylee and Emma Veyon; Vincent (Heather), Leighton (Sierra), Elena, Channing and Britton Dubbeld; brother, David (Bethel) Rickenbach; sister, Nancy (Doug) Kemmerer.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10am-11am on Saturday at the Church.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 700 Center Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Brian Dutiel and Pastor Daniel Greer officiating.

Burial will follow in  Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building funds at the Brooksville Wesleyan Church or the Church of Christ in Christian Union.
