Robert "Bob" E. Givens

On Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm Robert E. “Bob” Givens grew the most beautiful set of angel wings and flew away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Bob has his new lungs and is able to continue to do once again, all the things he loved so much.

Bob’s early years he spent building Derby cars with his friends, the Perry County Crunch Bunch and traveling around the state bringing home all the trophies.

Bob was a dedicated deer and turkey hunter, the amount of kills he was proud to tag in, was just to numerous to count.

More than anything listed above, he enjoyed his children and grandchildren the most. They were his heart and soul.

Bob spent 35 years working as a Field Service Diesel Mechanic for Ohio Machinery in Zanesville, Ohio before he retired in 2009.

Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy Wollett Givens; his kids, William (Dinah) Givens, Brian (Kim) Givens, Lisa (Jeff) Hill, Richard Givens and Jerad (Tonni) Givens; grandkids, Blake, Bradley, Dena, Brittany, Brett, Bethany, Brandi, Makenna,  Gracie, Amber, Kyan, Charles and 1 on the way; great-grandchildren, Karmen, Ean, Mason, Bentley, Logan, Rylee and Ellie; siblings, Bill (Sheila) Givens, Charlie (Bonnie) Merritt and  Jimmy (Lenore)) Merritt.
 

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Betty M. Musick Givens; sisters, Fay, Mary and Marie; brother, Marty; granddaughter, Hazelyn and nephew, Gary Ramsey.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Newlon and Pastor Harry Fannin officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
