Sally Jean Myer, 77, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at The Pickering House, Lancaster, OH after a courageous and long battle of cancer. She was born March 5, 1941 in Harrison County, OH to the late Constantino (Gus) DiBacco and Mary Santilli DiBacco.
Sally was a graduate of Hopedale High School, Hopedale OH in 1959, and retired from Pamida in New Lexington. She also worked at other retail stores, and the Scio Pottery.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, flower gardening, shopping, and previously enjoyed Wednesday morning bowling league.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest W. DiBacco and August D. DiBacco.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James F. Myer; daughters, Sondra (Terry) Jones of Newark, OH, and Jamie L. Myer of New Lexington; granddaughters, Heather N. Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Hilary (Randy) Hull of Pooler, GA; sisters, Mary Ann Delloma of Barnesville, OH, Julie Prosperi of Cadiz, OH, and Frances Cook of Malvern, OH; many nieces & nephews; her close neighbors (extended family); Mike & Carla Sherlock, and Bill & Debbie Padgett; and her dog, Tobby.
Visitation will be Monday, October 15 from 5:00-7:00pm with Wake Service at 6:45pm at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill St., New Lexington, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 16 at 11:00am at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 N. Main St., New Lexington, OH. with Father Michael Hartge as celebrant.
Burial will follow at New Lexington Cemetery.
