Shirley L. (MacEachen) Griggs

Shirley L. Griggs, 83, of Corning, Ohio, formerly of Junction City, Ohio died at 9:08pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 at her home.

Born April 21, 1935 in Shawnee, Ohio to the late Angus D. and Edna Ruth Reed MacEachen.

Shirley was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church of Corning, Ohio.

Survived by her 5 children, Mike Griggs, Jerri Lynn (Rick) Breese, Tina (Terry) Lucas, Susan (Brian) Evans and Denise (Jim) Carroll; 8 grandchildren, David Welsh, Bruce (Amy) Welsh, Donnie (Jessica) Welsh, James (Raylyn Ratliff) Lucas, Janelle Hanson, Jennifer Hanson, Tiffany (Scott) Trivett and Brandon (Vanessa Vega) McMillan; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Janice Tokie, Nancy Lepley  and Betty Martin.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Jerold B. Griggs;  special daughter-in-law, Betty Griggs; grandsons, Christopher and Derek Griggs; great-grandson, Tyler Griggs.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm with Wake Service at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father Michael Hartge as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio.

A luncheon will be held following the burial at Saint Bernard Parish Hall in Corning, Ohio.
