Albert L. Pettet

Albert L. Pettet, 88 of Newark, Ohio died at 2:05 am on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home.

Born May 31, 1934 in San Toy, Perry County, Ohio to the late Samuel and Ocea M. McGill Pettet.

He was a member of Daybreak Church of Christ in Christian Union of Newark; he loved attending church and gospel music; he loved to tell stories: always liked helping people; watching baseball games;  he loved to fix things and taught the boys how to work on many things; playing cards and liked to winter in Florida.

Survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria Searles Pettet; five sons, Paul (Joyce), Rob (Jen), Gary, Larry and Terry (Marcia) Pettet; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother Ernest (Shirley) Pettet; two sisters, Louella Mears and Sylvia (John) Jividen.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Philip Pettet and a sister, Marie Mears.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm with funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Scott Polley officiating on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
