Barbara J. (McTeague) Hill

Barbara J. Hill, 67, of Somerset, Ohio died at 8:28am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born August 13, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Jerald and Margaret Ellen Paxton McTeague.

Barb was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington, where she was active in the bereavement committee; retired as Postmaster from the United States Postal Service in New Lexington, Ohio after 30 years of service and she was a very avid reader.

Survived by her husband, Jeffrey Hill; son, Logan A. Nelson; 2 grandsons, Caleb and Connor Nelson; 3 sisters, Ellen (Terry) Moore, Anne (Roger) Burnett and Mary Pat (Clay) Hanson; step-daughter, Amy (Chad) Catlett; 2 step-grandsons; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held from 3-5pm & 6-8pm with Rosary at 8pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father Emmanuel Addai as celebrant.

Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery at a later date.
