Barbara S. (Bolyard) Nelson

Barbara S. Bolyard Nelson, 65, of New Lexington, Ohio Died at 10:54am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in her home.

Born on March 26, 1960 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Walter Vance and Goldie Irene Embrey Bolyard.

Barbara was employed at Cooper Standard and PCC Airfoils. She was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time outdoors. She loved sitting on her porch with John and the neighbors, sharing beverages, good conversation and watching the birds that always seemed to gather nearby. She had a peaceful way about her, enjoying those moments of togetherness and nature. At home, Barbara took great pride in keeping everything in perfect order. She was an avid cleaner who made sure her house was always spotless, a reflection of the care and love she poured into every part of her life.

Survived by sisters and brothers, Martha (Ron) Brame, Dennis (April) Bolyard, Debbie (Jim) Proctor, John Bolyard and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Marvin Eugene Nelson; sister, Evelyn Pauline Bolyard and brothers, Walter and Jerry Lee Bolyard.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Reverend Dan Hinkle officiating.
