Carol L. (Holbein) Gilkerson

Carol L. Gilkerson, age 85, of New Lexington, Ohio left us to begin another journey with her Lord Jesus Christ on February 11th, 2025.  She was embraced by the love and laughter of her family during her final moments before passing away peacefully.  She was under the wonderful care and compassion of the Morrison Hospice House of Zanesville, Ohio.

Carol was born in Columbus, Ohio to Fredrick and Beatrice Holbein on July 29, 1939.

She is preceded in death by Parents Fredrick and Beatrice Holbein, Husband Arthur Gilkerson, Sister Sadie Younkin, Brother Ronald Holbein, and Grandson Mark Fausnaugh.

She is survived by her children: Brenda Ferko, Teresa (Brad) Sito, Anita Gilkerson, Jeffrey (Terri) Gilkerson, Annette (Robert) Vassar; Grandchildren: Christina, Michelle, Brittany, Victoria, Rachel, Joshua, Rebekah, Kevin, Ashley, Kayla, Emily, Trevor, Sidney, Ethan, and Emma; 22 Great Grandchildren; Sisters Judy Shepherd, Barbara Price; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, February 13th, from 4-8 p.m. with funeral service on Friday, February 14th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Road, New Lexington, Ohio. Pastor Jeff Gilkerson officiating.

Interment to follow at Blendon Cemetery in Westerville, Ohio.
