Carolyn D. Howdyshell, 76 of Junction City, Ohio died at 9:20 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born February 13, 1945 in Crooksville, Ohio to the late Harry and Mary Elizabeth Shipley Ashley.
She was a member of the Anchor Church of New Lexington; was a nurturing homemaker; took care of the finances and her family; liked Elvis, George Strait and Lawrence Welk.
Surviving are daughters, Holly (Mark) Randolph of New Lexington and Heather Howdyshell of Junction City; sisters and brother, Genevieve “Jude” Ashley, Mary Sparks and Harry (Marcia) Ashley.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Rick C. Howdyshell; son, Ricky Howdyshell; sisters and brother, Pauline (Bill) Hull, Harriett (Henry) Trussell, Charlotte Young, James Ashley and Marsha (David) Stalling.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10-11 am on Tuesday at the church.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Anchor Church, 379 Kennedy Drive, New Lexington with Reverend H. Richard Young.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
