Charles Clark Hurst, Sr. of Corning, Ohio died Sunday, December 4, 2022 at his home.
Born April 1, 1947 in Logan, Ohio to the late George and Alma Givens Hurst.
He was a member of God’s Church; the Ohio National Guard; retired from B.B.U. Environmental as a truck driver; loved fishing and hunting; his Harley tractor; farm life; loved keeping life simple and loved his family deeply.
Survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Alfman Hurst; sons, Chuck Hurst, Bill (Jamie) Hurst and Scott (Chris) Hurst; grandchildren, Chelsea, Courtney (Michael) Gensley, Casey, Hunter, Dalton (Jayden) Hurst, Shawn (Ashley) Hurst, Jessica (Waylon) Leonard, Codey (Shala) Hurst, Ashley (Levi) Sells and Emily; great-grandchildren, Bentley, J.J., Lucas, Colton, Sadie, Sydney, Dillyn, Jentreigh, Wrenleigh, Cierra, Bella and Mikey; sister, Becky (Ransom) Staley.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Donna Edwards, Wanda Brown, Gary Hurst, Ted Hurst, Maxine Ward; brothers-in-law, Dewey Alfman, Earl Alfman and Lawrence Alfman.
Calling hours will be held from 9 am to 12 pm on December 8, 2022 with funeral service following at 12:00 pm at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Evangelist Monty Hurst officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Corning, Ohio with graveside military service by the Corning American Legion, Post #327.
