Chase James Wimbley

Chase James Wimbley, 17, of Somerset, Ohio died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Genesis-Perry County Emergency Department in Somerset, Ohio.

Born March 23, 2008 in Celebration, Florida to the late Dominic Wimbley and Jennifer Elias of Somerset, Ohio.

Chase was an 11th grade student at Sheridan High School; he loved to make everybody laugh; was very out-spoken, caring and loved to listen to music, playing fortnight and crocheting. Chase was caring and protective; he was the father of two beautiful little boys and his life has been taken so early, before he could even see them grow themselves.

In addition to his Mother, survived by his children, Karson and Kody; siblings, Angel and Baby D; grandparents, Rhonda and Delbert Dutton; grandma, Kelley Morrell; great-grandma, Nancy Sue Elias; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his Father, preceded in death by his grandpa, John Elias, Jr. and great-grandpa, John Elias.

Calling hours will be held from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with unexpected funeral expenses.
