Chris Eugene Holstein

Chris Eugene Holstein, 63, of New Lexington, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, finished his fight with cancer at 7:25am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Chris was born on May 9, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio at Saint Ann’s Hospital. He is the son of Barbara Silcott Holstein and the late Everett Eugene Holstein.

Chris is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sherry Lynn Criner Holstein; two children, Bobbiesue (David) Hicks and Jacob (Tina) Holstein of New Lexington; seven grandchildren, Ashlee Williams, Alyson Williams, Victoria Lehman, Alanah Williams, Hanna Hicks, Camden Hicks, and Wyatt Holstein; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Laura Jones of Thornville, Gina (David) Keller of Somerset, Theresa Cain of London, Suzette Adams of Thornville and Michele (Ed) Higgins of Derby. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; Lifelong friends, Jerry Smith and Larry Runyon and many other friends.

In addition to his father, preceded in death by his brother, Brett Holstein and brother- in- law, David Jones.  

Calling Hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
