Dale M. Dodson

Dale M. Dodson, 73 of New Lexington, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born November 26, 1944, in Oakfield, Ohio the son of Milford J & Delsie E. (Ketcham) Dodson and was Christian by faith.

Dale retired from Superior Fibers following many years of service. He was a member of New Lexington Eagles Aire 2070, Elks Lodge 509 and a former member of the Perry County Community Club. He was an avid sport fan, especially of The Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR. Dale was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Dale is survived by one son: Bryan Dodson; two daughters: Heather Dodson and Dodie Dodson;  two stepdaughters: Michele (Todd) Saunders and Amy Randolph; one stepson: Tim (Diane) Thompson; eleven grandchildren: Maggie (Tony) Alfman, Maria (Randy) Poling, Amanda (Ross) Stevens, Alan Randolph, Alyssa Randolph, T.J. (Brittany) Thompson, Tiffany Thompson, Myranda (Dalton) DiFrederico, Miley Thompson, Luke Thompson and Joshua Dale Dodson; six great grandchildren: Tyler, Olivia, Anthony, Harper, Hannah and Blake; two sisters: Agnes (Richard) Benedict and Delores (Eugene) Titko.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his first wife: Evelyn (Bolyard) Dodson; his second wife: Charlene Ann (Wiseman) Dodson; granddaughter: Emily Thompson, his step son-in-law: Keith Randolph and one sister: Mona Mullins.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio where Funeral Rites will be conducted by the Elks & Eagles Lodge.

 Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, on Monday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, June 4, 2018, at the funeral home with Reverend Mary Perani officiating.

Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
