David A. Blauser, 70, of Crooksville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2023 at his home following a tragic accident.
Dave was born November 9, 1952 in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Robert Reef and Norma Jean (Horning) Blauser.
Dave was the class President for the FFA at Fairfield Union High School; graduate of The Ohio State University; Vo Ag teacher for 35 years; Professor at Hocking College; he was a 4-H & FFA advisor for many years, FFA Alumni Member; he ran the Perry County Gun Club and was highly involved with truck and tractor pulls; he was a farmer and educator for 4 decades; avid traveler and outdoorsman; a historian; loved the environment; jack of all trades; an amazing welder and a master of many crafts.
Dave dedicated his entire life to the New Lexington School district, students, and community, helping to build one of the largest FFA and Ag programs in the State of Ohio. He was an amazing teacher and he touched so many lives. He was an avid fisherman from Lake Erie to Florida and everywhere in between.
Devoted Husband, loving Father and proud Grandfather. Dave is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lisa (Sutherland) Blauser; 9 children, Ryan (Jennifer) Blauser, Ashley (Marcos) Blauser-Silva, Lindsey Blauser, Cortney (Chris) Fulk, Matthew Blauser, Kelsey Blauser, Nicholas (Judy) Reese, Matthew Reese and Joshua (Gizell) Reese; 17 grandchildren; brother and sisters, Dr. Catherine (Jack) Darr, Molly (Lee) Pletcher, Bobbie (Gary) Schnitkey and Victor Blauser.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a brother, Norman Blauser.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the New Lexington High School, 2547 Panther Drive, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the High School with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating.
