Deemonzia (Adams) Shiplett

Deemonzia Shiplett of New Lexington, Ohio died at 2:30am on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at her home.

Born May 23, 1949 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Logan and Mary Katherine Kirk Adams.

Dee was a Followers of the Way; she loved the Lord and her grandchildren; she was a good, kind women and was a Mother to her Sisters.

Survived by her husband of 27 years, Leonard Shiplett; sister, Florence Savage; brother, Preston Adams; children, Cynthia Shiplett, Christina Hill and Craig (Jenny) Shiplett; grandchildren, Kian Heidari, Kevin (Alesia) Hill, Jordan Wolf, Katelyn Dickerson, Drew Shiplett, Hunter Hill, Lauryn Shiplett, Madalyn Shiplett, Lily Shiplett, Casey Simpkins, Sammy Simpkins and Maddux Hill; several great-grandchidlren; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Jenny Fink.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa J. Heidari.

Graveside Funeral Service and Burial will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at New Lexington Cemetery, 440 Swigart Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Chaplin Joe Rowland officiating.

Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio in charge of arrangements.
