Dennis Robert Hewitt

Dennis Robert Hewitt, 56, of West Jefferson, Ohio formerly of Junction City, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Born March 21, 1967 in Zanesville, Ohio to Curtis Richard and Mary Agnes Crosbie Hewitt.

Dennis was a United States Army veteran. Dennis loved the outdoors whether hunting ginseng, golfing, riding his motorcycle, playing corn hole or just hanging out with his family and friends. He was also creative and would draw pictures for the many children who loved Uncle Denny. Dennis was the fun Uncle and always making the kids laugh and was always patient with them. He inspired creativity and exploring the imagination. Dennis is a well-loved brother, friend and Uncle to many. Dennis brought the smile, the laughter and the fun. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by siblings, Elaine (Stephen) Brunney, Michael Hewitt, Rose (Ted) Covert, Karen Maiden (Jerry Sherrick), and Timothy (Michelle) Hewitt; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Courtney Ford and Sarah Lauren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward E. Hewitt and Jane F. Hewitt.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM at his sister Karen’s home.
