Donald R. Boring, Sr.

Donald R. Boring, Sr., 74, of Crooksville, Ohio died at 1:05 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home.

Born September 24, 1948 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Clinton and Clara Ann Ratliff Boring.

Donald was a United States Army Veteran during Vietnam; member of VFW Post #9090 of Crooksville; member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington; retired supervisor from the Energy Corporative; he loved to eat, hunt, fish, whittling on wood, watching the deer, turkey, birds and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  

He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, he loved his family, they meant everything to him.

Survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Bolyard Boring; son, Donald (Dee Ann) Boring, Jr; daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Alexander; grandchildren, Phillip (Kristie) Boring, Kaleb (Garnet) Boring, Makayla Alexander (Nick Martz), Lacey (Carson) Starlin; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Margaret, Avery and Madison; sisters, Judy (Fred) Hazelton, Carol (Jeff) Cavinee and Christie Boring; brother, John (Michelle) Boring; special friends, Mary Armstrong, Barb McCutcheon, Dave Cox and Brian Alexander; aunt Dorothy McFann of Reynoldsburg; sisters-in-law, Christine Hill and Jeanne Swackhammer.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by brother, Gene Boring and infant brother, Jimmy Boring.

Calling hours will be held from 10 am to 12 pm with funeral service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2023 with Father Todd Lehigh officiating at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow at Oakfield Cemetery with graveside military services by VFW #9090 of Crooksville.
