Donna J. Nash, 78, of Burr Oak passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side Saturday September 21st, 2024.
Donna was born January 1st, 1946 to the late Don and Eileen Goodin Danielson.
Donna was a graduate of New Lexington high school class of 1964 and attended Meredith College where she studied business. She worked at New Lexington Elementary School as a secretary until she married and started a family. After her youngest started school she enjoyed her time working at Heavener’s Super Duper as a cashier for 15 years, as secretary at Hoberts Insurance then Edwards Cardinal Grocery until it’s closure.
Donna married the love of her life December 18th, 1965. Steve and Donna were married for 58 beautiful years and were inseparable. They enjoyed traveling the country and took several trips abroad. Donna was steadfast in her love and dedication to her faith and family.
Donna is survived by her husband Steve; children, Lisa and Steve Heavener, Chad and Jennifer Nash, Adam and Johnna Nash; grandchildren, Samantha and Dameon Baughman, Joe and Ashley Heavener, Kaytlynn and Gary Tribe, Dylan and Alli Nash, Chad II and Emma Nash, Kirsten and Chris Cunningham, and Anna Nash; Great-grandchildren, Bo Heavener, Laken Smathers, Braxton Sayers, Elliana Smathers, Quinn Sayers, Cylan Beebe, Ryann Rogers, Maggie Heavener, Lilly Nash, Laynie Tribe, and Charlotte Nash.
In addition to her parents preceded in death by daughter Amy Smathers and grandson Corey Smathers.
Calling hours will be held at 10am to 12:00pm with funeral service at 12:00pm with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating on Thursday September 26th, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church 6935 Township Road 234, Logan, Ohio 43138 (Maxville). Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, and in honoring her beloved daughter, Amy Lynn, the family requests donations be made to My Sister’s Place, a domestic abuse support agency, via mail to P.O. Box 1158 Athens, Ohio 45701, with “Giving Fund” in the memo.
Donna’s life was a testament to her love for her family and her faith in the lord. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, Grace, and unwavering devotion to God, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be truly missed.
