Dorothy E. (Scott) Barlow

Dorothy E. Barlow, 77, of New Lexington, Ohio died Friday, April 26, 2024 at Genesis Perry County Medical Center Emergency Department in Somerset, Ohio.

Born October 15, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard and Gloria Rushing Scott.

Dorothy attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union in New Lexington; she worked for Community Action and Perry County Job and Family Services; volunteered for the Perry County Food Pantry and served on several boards in the community; she loved working in the community and helping others; she loved meeting people, square dancing and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Survived by her son, Robert (Sussannah) Barlow; daughter, Tammy (Tony) Bender; grandchildren, Brandon, Zach, Josh, Abby, Kristie and Ashley; great-grandchildren, River, Avery and Madison; sister, Patty George and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barlow; son, Rick Barlow; brother, Richard Scott and a sister, Peggy Scott.

Calling hours will be held from 2pm-8pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the funeral home with Cy Copeland officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
