Earl Everett Starner Jr., 74, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at his home.
Born August 23, 1951 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Earl Everett Starner Sr. and Lucille Zelphia Lacy Starner.
Earl was a private security guard and owned the former Starner Bait Shop in Dresden, Ohio. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Dresden. He also was a base player and a member of the former band called Fast Freddy as well as a member of the band called Aftershock. Earl enjoyed music and painting. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed pheasant hunting. In the 70’s he raised harness horses.
Survived by his daughters, Karen Ann Starner-Dunn and Jodie Starner (Clint) Cornell; son-in-law, Jason James Rittberger; significant other, Cathy Larimer; granddaughters, Catherine Rosella Gallogly and Kailyn Cornell; sisters, Joanne Unger and Earlene (Bill) Corban; special family friend Mr. and Mrs. Dave Culbertson; Dogs, Lulu and Legend.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Johnna Kay Headley Starner and his infant son, Earl Everett Starner III.
Private burial will take place in Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Ohio.
