Edith A. Watkins, 100, of Corning, Ohio died at 12:55pm on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.
Born January 27, 1924 in Newburg, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Ora Miller.
Edith was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church of Corning, Ohio; Corning Eagles #463, Ladies Auxiliary; she did a lot for the Cub Scouts in her earlier years and worked a lot for her church.
Survived by her children, Kay (Frank) Sparacino, Barbara Krause, Lynn (Tim) Goforth, Al (Dotty) Watkins and Lee Watkins; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Roy Watkins; son-in-law, Jerry Krause, 1 grandchild and a sister, Wilma Rodgers.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm with Corning Eagles Ladies Auxiliary services at 7:30pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 and from 11am-12noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Bethany United Methodist Church, Adams Street, Corning, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held at 12noon on Tuesday at the church with Reverend Carolyn Hoskinson officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio at a later date.
