Edytha Allen Blosser, 99, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born May 28, 1924 in Rehoboth, Ohio to the late Fred and Ruth Yarger Burley.
Edytha was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of New Lexington, where she was a Sunday school teacher; she was a 4-H advisor for many years; donated many years to different areas of the Perry County Fair and she retired from the Perry County Library.
Survived by her children, Leray Allen, Carole Downs, Carmen (Marvin) Baker, Irven (Lisa) Allen and Nila (Anthony) Rappold; step-children, Robert Blosser, Linda Snider, Jeff Blosser and Mike Blosser; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husbands, Dwight Allen and Charles Blosser; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Gloria Burley; son-in-law, Harry Downs and daughter-in-law, Pat Allen.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 and from 9:30am-10:30am on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 West Brown Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating.
Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; Central Ohio Hospice or a charity of choice.
